‘WeCrashed’ celebrated its LA premiere at The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on Thursday, March 17.
The new Apple TV+ show is inspired by actual events, showing the rise and fall of WeWork and the love story at the center of it all.
Academy Award winner Jared Leto and Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway star as Adam Neumann and Rebekah Neumann, respectively. The show follows the Neumann couple’s relationship and ambitions, from falling in love and creating a global brand worth $47 billion in under a decade, to the fallout of the company’s value plummeting.
“This was an amazing experience, it was an incredible journey,” Jared Leto said in advance of the show’s screening.
“This is one of the greatest creative experiences of my life,” Anne Hathaway shared before the screening began.
WeCrashed was created by Lee Eisenberg and Drew Crevello, who also serve as Executive Producers and showrunners. The highly anticipated limited series is based on the top Wondery podcast “WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork.”
Glenn Ficarra and John Requa both serve as Executive Producers while also lending their talents to directing the first three episodes of WeCrashed.
The cast is rounded out by Kyle Marvin as Miguel McKelvey, O-T Fagbenle as Cameron Lautner, America Ferrera, Cricket Brown, Troy Iwata, Peter Jacobson, Mallori Johnson, Eui-Sung Kim, and Theo Stockman.
The Knockturnal got the chance to speak with Anne Hathaway, Jared Leto, Kyle Marvin, Mallori Johnson, Troy Iwata, directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, and showrunners and creators Lee Eisenberg and Drew Crevello.
WeCrashed is now streaming on Apple TV+.
