Power Book III: Raising Kanan’s season 4 finale ended on a cliffhanger.
Now, fans are left to speculate and make theories about what happened after Kanan pointed the gun at Raquel. Did Kanan pull the trigger on Raquel, and if so, did he take her life? Who was the mysterious individual Jukebox called in that tense moment? Did that person arrive at the Stark house just as chaos erupted, or was it possible that they were the one who fired the fatal shot, putting Kanan in the spotlight of suspicion? As the pieces remain scattered, the intrigue continues to build.
Patina Miller reflected on Raquel’s shifting family dynamics in Raising Kanan Season 4, noting how the character begins the season with her family by her side but ends up increasingly isolated.
By the end, only Lou remains loyal to her, as others begin to turn away. Miller views Raquel as someone who, while perhaps not the most effective matriarch, has always tried to keep her family close. However, the choices Raquel has made throughout the series inevitably lead to consequences, making her growing isolation feel both tragic and inevitable.
“Those are the consequences. And Raq’s done a lot of things,” said Miller. “And this is just another consequence of being in this world doing some of the things that she’s done.”
Patina Miller believes the Raising Kanan Season 4 cliffhanger will catch many fans by surprise. She expects audiences to have a wide range of reactions and opinions, but emphasizes that the moment was earned through careful storytelling. According to Miller, everything throughout the series has been building toward this turning point between Raq and Kanan, and she feels confident that the show delivers on the impact and weight of the moment.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan will return for its fifth and final season in 2026 on Starz.
