The all-star ensemble cast of Knives Out – which included Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ana de Armas, and Katherine Langford – hit the carpet Thursday night for the premiere of the murder mystery.

Inspired by the legendary works of Agatha Christie, Knives Outputs a modern-day twist on the “whodunnit” style genre. The film centers around a wealthy family arguing over crime novelist Harlan Thrombey’s (Christopher Plummer) inheritance after realizing he’s passed. When police and detective Benoit Blanc are called to investigate, everyone soon realizes they’ve got a murder on their hands. The only question now is who did it?
Written and directed by Rian Johnson (Brick, Looper, The Last Jedi), he credits his love of murder mysteries as the inspiration behind wanting to make this film. When asked about getting the star studded cast together, the self-proclaimed “whodunnit” junkie acknowledges Daniel Craig’s star power.
“Well it started with Daniel Craig and once you have Daniel Craig in your movie everyone wants to be in your movie. It’s a magical thing that happens.” The British actor took on the role of detective in the film and even donned a Southern accent for the role.
Now what made Mr. James Bond himself the first to say yes? We had the chance to speak to him on the carpet where he told us, “it’s brilliant, you rarely get to read a script as good as that, as funny as that, as original as that, so it was a yes.”
After the screening the cast made their way over to Baltaire near Brentwood for the after party. Surprisingly most of the cast was in attendance including young actor Jaeden Martell and his IT co-star Chosen Jacobs. American audience newcomer Ana de Armas was also present and dressed down from the beautiful gown she wore at the carpet into a chic shimmery pant situation.

Already prominent in the Latino community, Cuban actress, Armas, is stepping into worldwide recognition with Knives Out and the future “No Time To Die” Bond film releasing next year. If you’re not familiar, keep her on your radars because she will be a force to be reckoned with and I’m calling it right now!
Knives Out is sharp, it’s witty, and it will keep you puzzled as you try to unfold the mystery. It also has a 97% on rotten tomatoes and we all know that counts for something. Check it out when it hits just in time for Thanksgiving on November 27th. In the meantime watch our interviews with the cast here!
