We got a chance to sit down with the cast of “Annabelle Comes Home” and talk to them about the film and the terrifying spirits in it.
“Annabelle Comes Home”, the latest sequel in the “Conjuring” series opened this week. Following the events of “Annabelle: Creation”, Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to their home in 1971, sealing it in a sacred glass case in their personal artifact room where the Annabelle doll should remain contained, hopefully. Three years later, the couple hires Mary Ellen to babysit their daughter, Judy, and watch over the house while they leave town to investigate another case. All is well until Daniela, Mary Ellen’s troubled friend, sneaks into the artifact room and accidentally leaves the case containing Annabelle unlocked. Now, the three of them have to face the horrors of Annabelle’s evil as they not only have to face Annabelle, but all of the now awoken spirits residing in the artifact room.
When asked which demonic entity she would want to avoid, Vera Farmiga chose the monkey. “That monkey annoys me,” she said, “the monkey annoys me with that snarl, I just want to punch that monkey”. James Wan, on the other hand, had to disagree: “I do like the possessed monkey artifact. I like him just because it’s like ‘oh, what does he do?’ he just plays a musical instrument at the middle of the night, hopefully that isn’t too harmful! He seems pretty harmless and kind of adorable
at the same time.” Madison Iseman and Katie Sarife both chose the Ferryman to stay away from. “I don’t want to be taken into that corridor ever again in my life” said Madison “Yeah, I don’t want to pay his toll. I’m good, thank you” said Katie.
