The movie follows Kelsa, a transgender high senior played by Reign, navigating through her last year of school. Kelsa has a love for fashion and animals whose names reflect their unique traits, similar to her, whose name translates to brave. Reign’s character has a Youtube channel where she discusses various topics and documents her daily experiences as a transgender teen. One of her classmates, Khai, played by Ali, develops a crush on Kelsa, and despite the drama, the two begin to date. As the film progresses, both characters must navigate through judgment from friends and family while learning ways to communicate with one another and not allow outside voices to define them.
Anything’s Possible is a romantic comedy that shows that love goes beyond the conversation of gender and sexual orientation. The movie represents various groups within the LGTBQ+ community and their allies, offering fans and viewers a modern love story that is both inclusive and heartwarming. The Knockturnal spoke with Porter, Reign, and Ali about the film and the importance of representation, especially within the tv and film industry. Porter also discussed his directorial debut with this movie and what this opportunity meant to him.
