K-Pop powerhouse and Starship Entertainment’s CRAVITY, named after the collision of the words “Creativity” and “Gravity,” enter a new chapter where they hope to ‘find their orbit’ in their latest single album FIND THE ORBIT.
The nine members sat down with The Knockturnal to expand into detail about the release with songs ‘Secret,’ ‘Horizon,’ and focus track ‘Now or Never.’
Each number has its personal sound and identity, where you can find echoes of high-energy disco-pop tracks all the way to falsetto melodies of ‘Horizon,’ written by WOOBIN, based on their win on survival show Road to Kingdom: ACE OF ACE.
The title track ‘Now or Never,’ co-written by members SERIM and ALLEN, is paired with a music video that follows the members through both a candid and an out-of-this-world setting that visually brings the track all together – with choreography following the sounds of the guitar paired with their vocal melodies. Watch the full music video below!
CRAVITY is the perfect example of ‘everything gets better with time’ as they show their growth in FIND THE ORBIT, a high note to end off 2024. Each individual track has its own deeper meaning and process, which CRAVITY dives into in our interview below!
2024 has been an exciting year for the members with music shows, concerts, and program wins. Blast off into CRAVITY’s recent activities in our interview with The Knockturnal below.

This interview has been lightly edited for clarity.
The Knockturnal: Congratulations on your recent win on Road to Kingdom Ace of Ace and the release of the single album. You guys have been having such a busy schedule. You also had your fan concert tour.
With all of this, what has your day-to-day been like? How have you guys been keeping up with the busy schedules?
Allen: First of all, thanks so much for congratulating us. Yeah, very busy. We’re really booked and busy, and we’re just glad though. We’re just very grateful to be able to be working this hard, to be able to meet our fans and to show them a lot of different performances. Like today specifically, we just did some comeback preparations. I’m pretty sure LUVITY will be LUV-ing what we did today.
The Knockturnal: I’m sure they are so excited and even more excited for FIND THE ORBIT, this new chapter. You guys have described it as a new chapter for CRAVITY, and I’m curious—what story are you hoping to create with this new chapter?
Allen: We want to find a new orbit, to reach higher ground, to become new and improved versions of CRAVITY.
The Knockturnal: Has your experience on Road to Kingdom Ace of Ace influenced your approach with this single album? I’m curious to know if you guys learned any new lessons from the show that maybe we can see in this album, or if it influenced the process at all?
Allen: Throughout the show, there were a lot of space themes. For example, our intro film was This Is Our Asteroid, and also our journey, our odyssey into CRAVITY—all of that really ties together. It’s like a buildup for this album, actually. The whole experience of being on Road to Kingdom really helped us mature, as people and as artists. I feel like we really improved a lot in that short amount of time. And Woobin actually gained inspiration for the lyrics of “Horizon” through the process of us participating in Road to Kingdom.
The Knockturnal: I was going to ask about ‘Horizon’ as well and how the writing process was since I know it has that strong connection with Road to Kingdom. Did that make the writing and producing process more difficult or much easier because there was already that inspiration?
Woobin: Through the program, I was able to analyze and see each member’s strong points and what they’re good at. Then while recording the song, it was really an easy process for me.
Allen: He was just able to really get to know the members’ abilities more. Maybe not for Taeyoung, but I guess for the rest of us, he was able to record with ease.
The Knockturnal: Speaking of your process and as a play on the track ‘Secret,’ what was the most challenging or rewarding part of creating? It could be ‘Secret,’ it could be any other track—maybe a little hidden secret, an unexpected surprise, or a behind-the-scenes story you’d like to share about FIND THE ORBIT.
Woobin: Throughout the three songs on this album, I’ve had many secret little ad-libs. But for the song ‘Secret’ specifically, there was this really challenging falsetto ad-lib. I kind of doubted myself, thinking, “Am I really able to do this? Am I really able to pull this off that well?”
The Knockturnal: Going to the top of the three tracks—for ‘Now or Never,’ again, about the songwriting process. The song is about being in that moment, “It’s now or never.” Maybe you could tell us more about the song’s message and if it connects to any of your recent activities.
Allen: Like the title suggests, ‘Now or Never’—before we participated in the show when we got the news that we might be competing in the program, we were all flustered a little bit. But then we saw it as a gift in disguise. We saw it as a good opportunity for us to propel us further in our careers. So we came together as one and decided, “It’s now or never—this is our chance.” We took it and ran with it.
The Knockturnal: Do any of the members want to share their favorite track from the single album and why?
Hyeongjun: My favorite song is ‘Secret.’ Yes, I like Secret because it’s really bright and gives me a lot of energy.
Seongmin: I like the focus track ‘Now or Never’ the most.
Minhee: I love ‘Horizon.’ Because he (Woojin) is a (composing) genius!
Wonjin: For me, my favorite song is ‘Now or Never’ because it’s youthful—it gives me energy!
Jungmo: I have two favorites: ‘Now or Never’ and ‘Secret.’ *Playfully* Just ‘Now or Never.’
Woobin: My favorite song is (a) ‘Secret.’
The Knockturnal: I want to talk about your crazy year. You started off with EVERSHINE and won two music show trophies for that one! Many more accomplishments throughout the year as well. What are your hopes for the remainder of 2024, specifically with FIND THE ORBIT?
Allen: We had such good results and reactions with EVERSHINE and ‘Love or Die.’ We hope to continue that momentum and secure a dub for ‘Now or Never’ as well! We’d also love to participate in year-end stages and award shows if we get invited. Keeping our hopes up!
The Knockturnal: Speaking of upcoming activities, my LUVITY friend mentioned a new season of CRAVITY Park!
Allen: It’s going to be big because we’re reaching our 100th episode soon. It’ll be like an anniversary thing—so it’s fun. You guys can look forward to that.
The Knockturnal: What activities would you want to try for future episodes?
Taeyoung: Olympics because we’ve never participated in the Idol Sports Championships. We haven’t done any sports together so maybe in CRAVITY Park! CRAVITY Olympics!
Allen: Since it’s winter in Korea right now, I want to go to ski resorts together with the members. It’ll be lots of fun.
The Knockturnal: I’m throwing it back to Road to Kingdom Ace of Ace. Specifically about ‘Historia.’ LUVITYs are asking: Was the missing gemstone during the stage for Taeyoung’s part intentional?
Taeyoung: Oh, man. It wasn’t scripted. In the practice video, I had my stone, but it’s live so there can be some mistakes. But, still – we did everything else good after that! Unfortunately! It was a very fun episode. We were like, ‘Should we make a story out of this for the next comeback?’
The Knockturnal: I want to keep the fun going—can we do an emoji game based on your songs?
You can watch the full emoji game HERE.
