Visual artist extraordinaire Daniella White is one of those people who when you have a conversation immediately a sense of enlightenment swoops into your head.
Not just a songbird and more than a designer, the iconic pop artist known as YellaCatt is the burst of color you need to paint euphoria in your life.
A new crowning achievement for the singer recently took place with the November 3 premiere of the song and music video “The Show.” A fresh perspective full of wisdom that you crave to hear comes with this captivating worldwide release. Edgy and not holding back, the fierce lyrics of the new single are pure inspiration.
For years the prolific sound of eclectic music sensation has helped fans discover the beat with ease from the moment you play one of her songs. She defines ‘vibe.’ Her inspirational and electrifying mantra empowers you with a message of strength and determination.
“I take no shit. I am running the show,” YellaCatt belts out. A roaring cry soars in the air from her lungs and pierces the heart for all listening. Bow down to the queen who is out to conquer the battle with hardship and a romance gone wrong.
“The Show” created by the artist is simply appropriate for our crazy modern times. Along with producing partner Sequoia Emmanuelle, YellaCatt has weaved together symbolic lyrics that match a stoic music video design that is sure to stir up fiery emotions in many.
The verses are cheeky and playful, beguiling, and flirty. The pre-chorus is a bit more demanding, asking her suitors to walk the line, while the chorus tells you about her history, and where she stands now, in a state of self-love.
“This song for me is post breakup, having gone through the pain and waking up on the other side. I reclaimed myself, reclaimed my power, reclaimed myself,” she openly reflects during an exclusive interview with The Knockturnal. “It took it all to the next level in this song because of what I went through. It is like me coming out on the other side. It’s kind of sexy and flirty and playful and then the pre-chorus is like, ‘Get it in line!’ Like, if you want me you must show up. And then the chorus is like, this is what I’ve been through, and I’m letting it go. Yes, I’ve been enslaved. But I’m also a queen. We’ve all lived so many lives. And in order to move forward, you can’t live through that pain – you have to release it.”
A catchy tune that is already lighting up the dance floor across the country, it resonates a resounding feeling of triumph in all communities. Without limitation due to the universal theme of learning how to get back up and march on after a broken heart, YellaCatt just knows how to make you break down barriers and obstacles. She makes you live in the moment.
“I definitely have always identified with the archetype of warrior. But now I don’t want to fight anymore,” YellaCatt expressed. “What the song means to me now is to just really be in my power, but still to have an open heart. And to also have very strong boundaries in that balancing act. I think that is the greatest self-protection that you can have. That’s very powerful.”
The crown belongs to this modern-day music goddess who reminds one of someone who was born from Venus herself if she had a child with David Bowie or Blondie. With an equal barometer for rock and punk mixed in with a dose of punk, temperatures simply soar for the listener who pays attention to the true intent of YellaCatt.
As equally as she has a commanding voice in music, the visual artist is also renowned for being the headpiece designer of The Plumed Serpent atelier. Lizzo to Daphne Guinness have worn her pieces and for good reason. Her accessories are an extension of the same powerful message she shares in her hit songs. “The Show” is her 4th self-produced music video and 11th song to be released thus far. The blending of the different genres is conquered with ease and is formulated from an energy she taps into with the feminine form, mysticism, fashion, art, and the cosmos. It’s no surprise that on top of all these accomplishments, she has also been a healing arts practitioner for 17 years and is a sound healer as well as a reiki master and clairvoyant.
Get your self-love on and feel empowered. “The Show” is the blissful journey that we all need.
