Jamaican dancehall breakout 1Ski OG is officially entering his next chapter.
The artist has released his debut album, Alter Ego, via Against Da Grain/Epic Records, delivering 15 tracks that showcase the different sides of his artistry.
Opening with “The Lord” featuring Sortie, 1Ski OG sets the tone with a record rooted in faith, resilience and self-reflection. The accompanying visual matches that energy, giving listeners an early glimpse into the more introspective side of the project.
“We all got mixed personalities that sets us aside from each other. Who you choose to be only you can decide,” 1Ski OG said to The Knockturnal.
And he lives up to that idea throughout the album. Tracks like “Stay To Mi Self” and “Life of a Man” featuring Romieikon tap into vulnerability, while “Riches Forever,” “Mad Dem,” “Options” and “Ratatata” bring the harder edge. Meanwhile, “Have You Ever” featuring Sortie, “Miss Independent” and “Ay Gyal” turn the energy toward romance, confidence and the dance floor.
The release comes after a major run for the Manchester, Jamaica native. Billboard named him one of its Caribbean Artists to Watch, while he has also landed coverage from VIBE, Rolling Out and the Jamaica Observer. His music has picked up playlist support from Apple Music and Audiomack, and he recently shared the stage with dancehall heavyweight Alkaline at New Rules Festival.

Before becoming 1Ski OG, the artist was known as Valdomore, a comedian and actor who built an audience through social media. His 2023 breakout “Dawkniss” went viral and helped launch his transition into music.
Now, with Alter Ego, 1Ski OG is showing listeners exactly why there’s more to him than the mask.
As he puts it: “The power is not in the mask, the power is in me.”
