Chick-fil-A Shared Table® Experience in New York City was an eye-opening experience that put a spotlight on the philanthropic efforts of helping those with food insecurities across the region.
The immersive experience hosted thousands who passed the pop up at The Oculus downtown as they got a chance to learn about the important role communities can play in addressing hunger locally.
For every visitor who attended Chick-fil-A, Inc. donated a meal to The Bowery Mission, a Chick-fil-A Shared Table program partner. The opportunity was a perfect way for New Yorkers to join Chick-fil-A in caring for neighbors facing hunger. Incredible to witness, it was once again a representation of how compassion can go a long way with brands who are willing to take steps to care about the communities that they hold business in. The work that Chick-fil-A does is both sincere and makes a difference in simply making the world a better place one meal at a time.

At the heart of the brand’s hunger relief efforts is the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, which helps locally owned and operated Chick-fil-A restaurants donate high-quality, surplus food to nonprofit partners in their communities, which is then transformed into nourishing meals for neighbors facing hunger. Since its inception in 2012 Chick-fil-A has helped create more than 50 million meals through the program.

Inspired by a local Owner-Operator who believed that good food should go further, the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program has expanded to include more than 2,700 participating Restaurants – more than 90 percent of Chick-fil-A restaurants – who partner with more than 1,600 nonprofit organizations nationwide.
Luke Cook, local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Fulton Street, reflected on these wonderful sentiments during a recent interview with The Knockturnal.
How does it make you feel knowing that compassionate efforts of the restaurant are making a true difference in New York City?

What is it that you want customers to take away the most from knowing that the restaurant is involved with the program to give back
I hope our Guests know that when they walk through our doors, they’re supporting a restaurant that cares deeply about the community we serve.
