Sunjay Midda plays Shadrach in the new film Daniel and The Fiery Furnace now playing in theaters.
Growing up in a small city Hampton, England, it was always Sunjay Midda‘s dream and plan to travel and work all around the world. He’s shooting in Morocco right now, he’s filmed in the US, the UK and filmed Daniel And The Fiery Furnace mostly in India.
Midda was in New York City at Time’s Square when he got the call that he got the part of Shadrach in this film. He immediately connected with the story and the casting director when he started pursuing this role. Midda was proactive in pursuing this role, after a zoom session with casting, conversations about the character and faith he knew this part was meant to be.
There’s interesting details to the story they wanted to be accurate to the original text. Midda explained the friends are supposed to come out unscathed so he discussed with the directors, “I was trying to navigate when I’m approaching the fire, were they feeling the heat?”

Midda told us, “I always wanted to do biblical stuff. And here I am.” He told us he’s always pursuing new opportunities, yet stays present and takes each opportunity as it comes. Midda said, “Let’s get the BCU going. As I keep calling it, the Bible Cinematic Universe.”
