With chefs like Masaharu Morimoto and Jim Abbey preparing the food, you know something great is in store.
With the US Open right around the corner, everyone is going out of their way to make sure this special event exceeds everyone’s expectations. At any sporting event, everyone’s cardinal concern is the food. I got a chance to preview it all and it was great. The list of celebrity chefs include Masaharu Morimoto, Michael White, Tony Mantuano, Richard Sandoval, and Ed Brown. With a lineup like that, you know you’re in for a treat. The menu for the US Open is long and varied, including everything from shredded Chicken Tacos and Honey Chili Pork to beef tartare and Char Grilled Tuna, not to mention simple classics like grilled cheese and smoked turkey sandwiches. To go with all this great food, there was a variety of drinks and cocktails, such as their signature Grey Goose Honey deuce. For dessert, there were Banana Nutella Crepes and great espresso and cappuccinos from Lavazza. Fans who’ll make the trip to see the US Open can find all these great dishes and more at the variety of restaurants, stands, and food trucks in the stadium.
The US Open kicks off on Monday. Other sponsors include Evian, Juice Press, Jacob’s Creek and Oreo Thins.
