Buchanan’s hosted an afterparty that already got us hype for next year’s FIFA World Cup!
Buchanan’s scored a major goal with their recent afterparty at BK Backyard. The team brought the beats, the drinks, the enthusiasm for soccer (or futbol as many would argue), and the brand was celebrating the big deal of its whiskey becoming the first ever official supporter of the FIFA World Cup! Congratulations were surely in order! Salud!
BK Backyard’s space offered a large dancing space and had fun in all corners, ranging from Jenga to Connect 4. To top it off, the Buchamión Truck was parked inside, and the vehicle had traveled through New York City that day, starting in Times Square, in order to invite soccer fans to start the one-year countdown to the big games. My first go-to spot once I entered the venue was to get to the bar to give Buchanan’s specialty cocktail called Buchanita a try and then I hit the dance floor. The magical evening’s theme was música, cultura y pasión, and trust me, it was definitely felt on that hot summer day. As the day quickly transitioned to night, DJ Pope hosted a hilarious and festive “goal contest” (who can yell “goal” for the longest) for the chance to win tickets to the FIFA World Cup and then he began his lively DJ set from inside the Buchamión Truck.

Being born in Croatia, I’ve been a fan of our team and of course Modric for the longest and I came ready to party while rocking my favorite jersey to represent. Afterall, Croatia did make the finals during the 2018 finals, and we’re hoping to make a big statement next year too. The event unified all soccer fans, regardless of the teams they cheer on, and mostly importantly, the brand got us excited for what the next FIFA World Cup has to offer only a year away!
