This week’s episode of BMF marked the debut of Mo’Nique’s character Goldie and it added more flavor to the ongoing story.
Goldie really stood out to me in a great way since It’s been a while since i’ve seen Mo’Nique play a character to this level on television. Her scenes with Meech and Terry were some of the great highlights of the episode and I like how they all interacted during their scenes together. I do find it funny that Meech and Terry tried to out hustle the rest at the secret gambling spot.
Another highlight is Lamar’s unexpected appearance at the Flenory house with murderous intentions and the fear Lucille shows when she is greeted by Lamar. Fortunately, he was halted at the moment, and it’s nice to see that he still has one ounce of human decency left in him. I respect him for sparring Lucille as I think losing his mom just made him had a change a heart, but we all know if he killed Lucille, that would have been an all out war starting. I still wonder how did he had that much pull to eat at the fast food place for free. As well as that, it was satisfying to see B-Mickie getting a piece of the action against that bully although Bryant hired him to do this!
In the midst of Charles’ affair with Mabel, he has escalated it to another level as they finally had sex since he could no longer resist her. Wait until Lucille finds out, it is going to blow up faster than he finished.
The opening for this week’s episode of BMF was really good as they showed Meech and Terry reminiscing about when they listened to music in their parents car when they were younger. My only gripe is, from the end of the last episode to the start of this one, it is like the car chase never happened. A bit jarring in my opinion. Great episode in my eyes though!
