Artist and motivational speaker Billy Alsbrooks’ World Tour Began in Los Angeles January 14th.
The tour will be stopping in places around the country (Las Vegas, Seattle), and all over the world (UK, Australia). His viral motivational messages have currently been streamed globally more than 70 million times across 170 countries, and his book Blessed And Unstoppable: Your Blueprint For Success has been sold in more than 31 countries.
Billy isn’t your average motivational speaker. When I sat down with Billy for lunch, I realized he wasn’t the average motivational speaker, or at least wasn’t what I expected when I first met him. Other than being very well spoken, he’s very relaxed and always eager to contribute to conversation.
What really stuck out to me was his listening skills, which showed in the unique responses he would. Not only would he remember exactly what you were saying, but take the overall meaning and help integrate it into the advice he provided. His talents show in the numerous fans and celebrity friends who back up his message.
Some, including Quarterback’s Cam Newton and Russell Wilson and Team, the Los Angeles Chargers, have referenced Billy, as well as the Joe Rogan Show by Lone Survivor Marcus Latrell and Billy himself was a guest on Marcus Latrell’s “NEVER QUIT” Podcast.
After taking a look at some of Billy’s work, you’ll quickly begin to realize what makes him so captivating: his unique approach. While a lot of religion based motivational speakers usually make faith the base of their message, Billy simply uses it as a tool, a reference, to try to get the message across.
When I asked him about this, I could tell he’s been asked that before. “That’s not the message I’m trying to send.” Then he elaborated on how he came across the Bible. “I started researching the best written books of all time, and I realized that each of them had a lesson.” And that’s when he came across the Holy Book.
In addition to his expansive vocabulary, his music talents follow very closely. Alsbrooks began his career as a DJ, but realized that life wasn’t for him. “I performed 5 concerts back to back to back to back to back, and each one got shot up. That’s when I realized I had to get out.
Combining his public speaking with his musical talents, he’s been able to perform — over beats produced by himself to millions of people all around the world. Now, he’s one of the biggest motivational speakers out there.
