On June 5, Fox’s reality and game show Stars on Mars premieres. Twelve adventurous celebrities landed on Mars. On the red planet, they lived, ate, bonded, and worked with each other. The series will air on Mondays at 8:00 PM EST and features an impressive cast list.

On May 31, the non-profit Pride Live presented the Stonewall Unplugged event at Hudson Yards. Songstress Sudie and Eurovision artist Netta Barzi performed songs. Host David Correa interviewed artist Mariyea about their career. Event organizers live-streamed the event on YouTube as well.
On June 2, the Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI) screened Jennifer’s Body (2009). The horror-comedy starred Megan Fox as Jennifer and Amanda Seyfried as Needy. MoMI showed the film as part of their ‘Queer Cinema, Top to Bottom’ series. The series started on May 20 and ended on July 2.
Fender Next Class Artist ‘Momma’ Dishes on Their Album ‘Household Name’
American indie rock band Momma became a member of Fender’s Next Class. The band consists of Allegra Weingarten, Etta Friedman, and bassist/producer Aron Kobayashi. Within the program, they developed their new album “Household Name.’ They hope to progress the band’s sound. The band is part of Fender’s fifth cohort.
Nonprofit “Get Lit” Hosts Documentary Screening and Mental Health Discussion Panel
On March 23, the nonprofit “Get Lit” screened thirty minutes of the documentary, “Our Words Collide.” The film showcased five poets from the Get Lit program. After, a mental health panel featured director Jordan Barrow, and two youth poets, Sam Luo, and Amari Turner. Author and mental health activist Héctor Tobar led the discussion. The event showed the organization’s positive impacts on literacy and young people.
Recently, the modern Asian restaurant Hortus NYC announced its Spring Menu. Newly-appointed executive chef Geo Park and Managing Partner Suhum Jang seamlessly blended Chinese, Japanese, South Asian, and European cuisines. Jang designed the wine and cocktail programs as well.
Paramount+ celebrated the ‘The Stallone Family’ reality show at the Torrisi restaurant. The new series featured Sylvester, Jennifer, and their daughters’ daily lives. The first episode premiered on May 17. The show is on Paramount+ and free on Prime Video.
On May 5, merging singer-songwriter Sadie Jean released her new pop single “Just Because.” Griff Clawson, Shy Martin, and Jean co-wrote the track. The song explored the complexities of young love and fit on a sad-girl playlist. The rest of Jean’s discography had similar themes.
Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade revealed the 2023-2024 television season content list. The line-up contained five second-season renewals, thirteen additional series renewals, and six new series orders. Fox announced this lineup to national advertising committees during Fox’s Upfront Presentation at Manhattan Center.

The afternoon featured activists and artists.
