Artexpo New York has returned, and it’s bigger than ever.
The four-day event has ranked among the art world’s most coveted gatherings for nearly five decades. Now in its 49th year, the long-running art fair shows no signs of slowing down. Showcasing the very best the art world has to offer, Artexpo is not just a fair. It’s a cultural institution.
Artexpo has earned its prestigious reputation not only through its competitive selection process but also through its incomparable scale. Hosting more than 15,000 art enthusiasts annually, including 2,000+ trade representatives, Artexpo New York is widely considered to be the largest fine art trade show in the world. This year, attendees will explore works ranging from prints, paintings, sculptures, photography, ceramics, glass works, and other innovative media- all spanning across 70,000 square feet of uninterrupted convention space.
The event is hosted by Redwood Art Group, the nation’s leader of exhibitions, marketing, media, and event production for the global art community. “As we return to Pier 36 for the 49th edition of Artexpo New York, we’re proud of the fair’s global reach and continued evolution,” said Eric Smith, the organization’s President and CEO. “With participation from artists and galleries representing more than 20 countries, Artexpo remains a platform for discovery, innovation, and forward-thinking programming that helps define what’s next in the art world.”
Since its premiere, Artexpo has gained a storied history. In years past, it has featured works from some of history’s most famous disruptive creators. Notable mentions include Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Keith Haring, Leroy Neiman, and thousands more. The 2026 lineup proves that the legacy of bold, boundary-pushing creation will continue into the Expo’s fifth decade.

Artexpo New York comprises two distinct pavilions, effectively making it two shows in one space. The Artexpo Pavilion features well-established, highly sought-after artists, galleries, and publishers. The [SOLO] Pavilion, however, is a curated exhibition that displays only the work of independent artists and fine art photographers. The program gives independent artists a platform on which to stand alongside the world’s top galleries. Over the last decade, [SOLO] has become the premier opportunity for independent artists to be discovered. By providing exposure to gallery owners, publishers, and collectors, exhibiting at [SOLO] can boost an artist’s career to new heights. The inclusion of [SOLO] adds a whole new dimension to the experience. The deliberate spotlighting of emerging talent demonstrates Artexpo’s dedication to celebrating the past, present, and future generations of artists.

Each year, the expo curates a schedule of various interactive programs for its attendees. This year’s program includes the return of Art Labs, which features specially curated site-specific projects by prominent galleries, art institutions, and collectives. Other highlights include the Discoveries Collection, showcasing affordable pieces to offer an accessible entry point for collectors seeking rising talent; Meet the Artist, where attendees can engage directly with creatives; and the Spotlight Program. Launched in 2016, The Spotlight program is one of Artexpo’s most prestigious events. The program highlights a select group of exceptional, cutting-edge artists hand-picked by the Redwood Art Group Selection Committee. The following six honorees were selected for this year’s program: Artwise Online (booth 432), Catherine Blackburn (booth S507), Christian Burnham (booth S307), Christopher Lotus (booth 104), Drew Marc Gallery (booth 215), and Musica Gallery (booth 301).
The fair will run through Sunday, April 12, at Pier 36, located at 299 South Street. For information on tickets and pricing, follow this link.
