Rain or shine, nothing could stop the energy at this year’s All About Us Festival, which returned to Jersey City’s waterfront for its third, and biggest, year yet. The event transformed the area into a vibrant celebration of Black excellence, culture, and freedom.

From the soulful sounds of R&B star Mario to the lyrical mastery of Grammy-nominated hip-hop legend Jadakiss, the festival delivered unforgettable performances that had the crowd singing, dancing, and celebrating well into the evening.

Vendors lined the space offering everything from mouth-watering food to unique products by Black-owned businesses, creating a true marketplace of culture. Families and friends gathered for games, shopping, and dancing, all while honoring the significance of Juneteenth—the day enslaved African Americans in Texas were finally informed of their freedom in 1865.

We created this space to remind us of what freedom looks like being together, being seen, and celebrating who we are,” said Shannon Mitchell, founder of the All About Us Festival. “Black history is American history, and this day is for all of us.”

With a mix of music, community, and culture, the All About Us Festival once again proved why it’s one of Jersey City’s most anticipated celebrations—one that honors the past while building an even brighter future.
