Ahead of Mother’s Day, actress Adrienne Bailon-Houghton partnered with NIDO to host an intimate brunch gathering in New York City that focused less on celebrity appearances and more on creating a space for mothers, parents, and their support systems to slow down for a few hours.
Held at Palma on May 7, the “Sip & Savor Brunch” brought together media, creators, and guests for a daytime event centered around conversation, comfort food, and creativity. The timing itself ended up becoming one of the most appreciated parts of the experience.
As a parent herself, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton’s decision to host the event during Mother’s Day week and in the morning felt intentional and she did not just showed up, talked to everyone, and left. Bailon-Houghton mingled with everyone and wanted to hear stories from other parents. She even participated and painted her own picture. It honestly felt genuine that a celebrity wanted to be there instead of having to be there for an commitment.
That daytime approach gave the event a more relaxed atmosphere overall. Instead of rushing through a crowded activation, guests had the opportunity to genuinely engage with one another while enjoying brunch and activities throughout the space.

The menu leaned into warm and comforting flavors, featuring items like french toast, tomato tart, and frittata di spinaci. Drinks also played a major role in the experience, especially with custom beverages inspired by NIDO products. Guests were served a NIDO infused french toast latte alongside a NIDO infused raspberry rose matcha latte, both designed to complement the brunch setting while subtly introducing the product in a lifestyle driven way.
Beyond the food and drinks, attendees were also invited to participate in ceramic painting stations spread throughout the venue. The activity added a personal and calming element to the brunch while encouraging guests to create content and spend time interacting with one another naturally rather than through heavily structured programming.

Bailon-Houghton first partnered with NIDO in 2025, and the collaboration has continued to focus heavily on parenting, family moments, and everyday routines. That alignment felt especially visible at this event, where the focus remained on creating a comfortable and accessible experience instead of an overly branded production.
The event sparked conversations among journalists and creators about a challenge many parents in media quietly face when attending brand activations. Since so many industry events happen at night, parents often have to skip them altogether or figure out childcare at the last minute. Hosting the brunch during the morning and during Mother’s Day week made the gathering feel much more thoughtful and accessible. Several journalists at the event appreciated being able to attend something that fit naturally into their schedules without sacrificing family time.
