Joining Unik Ernest’s new, curated nightlife experience is Lokee Lounge, located within the NoMo SoHo Hotel in downtown Manhattan.
The club entrance is attached to the side of the beautiful hotel, a nondescript glass door opens up to a chic space with graphic designs with an Asian touch. Graphic tribal patterns dotted across the space in pillows, peeks of the carpet and through the furnishings to give the space a modern touch. Tall mirrors striped the walls with their thick borders to add another graphic touch and help set an ambient mood once the lights are dimmed. Above the DJ’s station hangs a few traditional Chinese lanterns and a few bamboo stalks occupied the corners of the lounge. The fusion of the bold tribal patterns paired with these Asian elements gives the lounge a unique identity.
The lounge hosted a pre-opening with mixologist Tim Cooper who created the specialty cocktails. Out of the cocktails on the menu is the lounge’s signature Grape Buck with Aylesbury Duck Vodka, lemon juice, grape and ginger served in a high ball. It is definitely worth a try when stopping by on a night out. DJ Pamela Jones spun the night away with some fun beats to accompany the drinks and ambiance.
The club is now open at 150 Lafayette Street in SoHo.
