This weekend DuJour Magazine and Resident Magazine celebrated the launch of their respective issues with their celebrity cover stars.
DuJour Magazine’s Jason Binn celebrated January cover star Nick Cannon at a launch party at Dream Hotel Midtown’s PHD Terrace featuring a performance from 12-year-old DJ Fulano.
Nick Cannon explained that he wanted to have a launch party that the entire family could enjoy – so he and Jason made sure that children were welcome at the party – which turned Dream Midtown’s terrace into a wonderland of candy, cookies, and other kid-friendly treats, as DJ Fulano (who, at the age of 12 isn’t far from being a child himself) played non-explicit versions of hip hop hits.
We next attended another magazine issue launch, as Resident Magazine celebrated its new issue featuring cover star Amir Arison at the Beekman Regent Saturday night with special guest celebrity chefs Kerry Heffernan of Bravo’s Top Chef Masters, and Mauro Maccioni of the legendary Le Cirque. Taking place in a spectacular midtown east loft located on the third floor of the Beekman Regent building, Blacklist star Amir Arison hung out with Million Dollar Listing realtor Ryan Serhant while celebrity chefs prepared amazing culinary creations (fried yam fritters, seared tuna, and kale salad, to name a few) in the million-dollar kitchen. Guests also enjoyed the priceless art on the walls and cocktails such as the 50 Gimlet (50 Bleu Vodka, lime juice and simple syrup) and the Mediterranean Mule (Figenza Fig Vodka, lime juice and ginger beer).
