Runway 7 filled Sony Hall with designers from around the globe during New York Fashion Week, opening with CatWalk Furbaby and closing with Malan Breton.
Known as one of the most international platforms on the New York Fashion Week calendar, Runway 7 used its Sony Hall stage from September 8–13 to bring together designers from North America, South America, Central America and Asia. The result was a runway schedule that showed how far the week’s creative voices reach beyond the traditional fashion capitals.
Canada’s Princess Metalhead, Costa Rica’s Fenix, Brazil’s Work To Be Fashion, Chile’s Amaya Butrón and Argentina’s Mina Concept each brought their own point of view to the runway. Vietnam was represented by Mr CRAZY & Lady SEXY, while LA by Lina Alfaouri and Hirun New York added further range to a lineup that felt as varied as the city hosting it. Closer to home, U.S. talents such as King Thong and Ana Kubu represented the diversity within the United States itself.

The week began with CatWalk Furbaby, powered by Elysian Impact, an animal-focused show that set the tone for a season built around global storytelling and community. From there, the runway moved through a range of aesthetics, silhouettes and cultural perspectives, with designers from each of these countries sharing the same stage.

Malan Breton closed out the schedule with the final show, giving the run a high-profile finish after days of emerging and international talent.

For designers traveling from Latin America, Asia and Canada, Runway 7 offered a direct path into the New York Fashion Week spotlight. For audiences at Sony Hall, it offered a reminder that fashion is at its most exciting when it draws from many places at once.
