House of Domes, the new Tuscan-Italian restaurant in Soho, is an experience that encourages us to slow down and embrace excellent food, conversation, and company.
I had the privilege of dining at House of Domes, conceived by Sammy V. Gashi, the AMZ Group, and Chef Vilfred Hodoj, last Friday.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by General Manager Orald Lito in the elegant yet cozy glass-domed terrace bar and lounge, a perfect spot for some aperitifs. Orald escorted us into the main dining room, arranged around another glass dome, complete with a dark green and wood color scheme and custom House of Domes China. Everyone dining looked at home, and quite a few large groups were speaking passionately between bites of steak and gulps of wine.
The service was excellent but not overbearing. House of Domes is the place to go if you don’t want to feel rushed, but you do want excellent food, drinks, and service. This was a perfect vibe for a long dinner with two girls who were eager to discuss the dramas of the week.
The overall vibe was classy but not stuffy- which is exactly what I’m looking for in a dining experience.
The menu, created by Executive Chef Vilfred Hodoj, features simple yet elevated Tuscan Italian cuisine with fresh ingredients and house-made pastas. The cocktail program features seasonal twists on classics, and the wine list is perfectly curated with a focus on Tuscan vintages.
HERE’S WHAT WE GOT:
COCKTAILS:
The Royal Blush: Vodka, strawberries, sour mix, club soda, graham cracker rim. This was the perfect blend of sweet, strong, and floral.

The Queen of Hearts: tequila, lime juice, watermelon pucker, and triple sec, finished with muddled jalapeño and mint. It was a little spicy, fruity, and a little herby too.

Regal Punch: rum, St. Germain, pineapple, lime juice, topped with prosecco, pineapple leaves. This was so sweet and so fun, and I loved the PUNCH of pineapple.

Emerald Garden: gin, St. Germain, cucumber, mint, lime juice, simple syrup. This was satisfying all my wicked fantasies. The cucumber and gin combo was oh so refreshing.
APPS:
Insalata Castelvecchio: Arugula, artichokes, avocado, strawberry, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, goat cheese, Parmigiano Reggiano, raisins, pine nuts, balsamic vinegar, EVO- all of my favorite things! Fresh cheese blended beautifully with the fruitiness.

Burrata E Prosciutto: The prosciutto was perfectly salty, and the Burrata was perfectly fresh.

MAINS:
Rigatoni Al Pesto Di Pistachio: Rigatoni, mushrooms, pistachio pesto- loved the deep taste of the mushrooms combined with the pistachio pesto. This was so rich and delicious.

Tagliata Di Manzo: 12-ounce prime NY steak, amazing truffle mushroom sauce in a cute little pot, and roasted potatoes on the side. It was beautifully plated, perfectly seasoned, and the mushrooms and potatoes were as much the stars of the show as the steak.

FOR DESSERT:
We enjoyed the Tiramisu and Creme Brulee. Simple. Classic. Delicious. Perfect.
