A Night Of Being Creative And Cozy!

On a rainy evening in New York City I stepped into a cozy and lively Paint and Sip event at the 33 Seaport Hotel!
The hotel has partnered with Paint by Numbers to create a relaxing and cozy night. I grabbed a scenic table right by the widow and across from the mini-bar. The Laverne and Shirley, Southside Breeze, and Chilling In Paradise were some of the delicious speciality cocktails that were offered. I personally went for the hotel’s most popular drink, The Laverne and Shirley thats mixed with soju, lime, grape and ginger hunni soju, and was a delightfully sweet way to get started to paint.

The process of painting was very relaxing and therapeutic. Being that the picture was highly detailed, participants can choose to focus on the smaller details, the larger bits or not follow the numbers or colors at all. There is flexibility in the creative process especially with a drink in hand to enjoy some downtime and fun.

Whether you choose to go solo and crank up your tunes or laugh while painting with your neighbors, it’s up to you and that’s what makes the future events so great! Go ahead and unwind with a cocktail, paintbrush, and great stories from around. I recommend getting creative and disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of the loud city in order to reconnect with a slower pace of being.

“The class will become a monthly series (4th Thursday of the month) held at either the hotel’s Jewel Bar or Restaurant Pearl and will be led by a different artist every time.
Classes are $65/person: guests will receive the paint kit, two cocktails and passed bites, individual easel and apron. 33 Seaport is also selling terrace suite packages where guests are able to sip and paint outdoors alfresco. Terrace Suites start at $760 and the kit + a bottle of wine would be an add-on amenity of $110.”
