Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research kicked off the countdown to its annual Angel Ball with a lively night at Le Bar Penelope. With delicious food, flowing drinks, and meaningful conversations, the launch party gave guests a glimpse of what makes the Angel Ball so special.
The countdown to the annual Angel Ball officially began in New York City. Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research hosted its Angel Ball Launch Party at Le Bar Penelope.
The night completely amazed me. From the moment I walked in, everyone felt so friendly and welcoming. The energy made it feel like the perfect night out with family and friends. Denise Rich attended with her daughters, Daniella Rich Kilstock and Ilon Rich Schachter. Guests also included Hilaria Baldwin, Melissa Gorga, Mia Rowe, Ross Pino, and Angel Ball honoree Nicola Verses.

Of course, the drinks were phenomenal. Hunky Dory kept guests refreshed with its canned cocktails. The open bar also offered just about any cocktail you could imagine. The food was just as impressive and gave everyone another reason to stay and enjoy the night.
What stood out most was how welcoming the Rich family was. They opened their tables to guests throughout the evening. People could sit down, eat, drink, and share stories together. Conversations flowed so easily, and everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there.
Still, the night was about more than just great food and drinks. Everyone I spoke with showed so much passion for the Foundation’s cause. Guests were also happy to share updates about the latest developments in their research.
The annual Angel Ball honors the memory of Denise Rich’s daughter, Gabrielle Rich Aouad. Gabrielle passed away from acute myelogenous leukemia at just 27 years old. Her memory continues to inspire the Foundation’s work supporting cancer research.
The launch party gave everyone a taste of what is to come. The Angel Ball will take place Monday, October 19, at Cipriani Wall Street. This year’s honorees include Lynda Carter, Dionne Warwick, and Nicola Verses. Deborah Cox will serve as emcee for the evening. Guests can also look forward to a live performance from global reggae icon Shaggy. Star Jones, Dr. Stephen D. Nimer, and others will make special appearances.

After experiencing the launch party, I can confidently say the Angel Ball is the event to look forward to. I have never enjoyed an event quite like this one. The warmth, excitement, and passion in the room made the night truly unforgettable.
