On July 10, Exactly Right Media announced that “Ghosted! by Roz Hernandez” joined its lineup.

In the show, host and comedian Roz Herandez interviews celebrities, paranormal professionals, and entertainers. Together, they discuss supernatural encounters, such as ghosts and psychic activities. The participants focus on the instances’ effects too. Hernandez provides excellent commentary.

With an open mind and a humorous perspective, she dives into eerie stories. The transgender paranormal enthusiast and actor performs in various Los Angeles venues as well. CEO of Exactly Right Media Karen Kilgariff admires Hernandez’s work.

“Her wit, vulnerability, and wide-eyed exploration of the occult make her a perfect fit for the Exactly Right network.  We’re thrilled to share her unique voice and talents with the Exactly Right audience,” said Kilgariff. The Ghosted! podcast sees great success.

People and Vulture published features about the show.  Margaret Cho, Nicole Byer, Bryan Fuller, and RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon, made previous appearances.

On July 17, the spooky podcast will have new weekly episodes. Upcoming guests include comedian Patton Oswalt, My Favorite Murder co-host Georgia Hardstark, actor Busy Philipps, and Scam Goddess host Laci Mosley. To learn more, read the interview transcript with Hernandez below.

The Knockturnal: Where do you typically find unusual and paranormal stories to talk about?

Roz Hernandez: I have created a super fun community of weirdos that send me all kinds of stuff to talk about! A lot of the time I get stories from their own experiences as well as topics, documented cases, and even guest suggestions. I also spend late nights Googling and reading through vintage paranormal books and magazines.

The Knockturnal: Can you explain your process for choosing which guests to interview?

Roz Hernandez: Well for the first 3 or so years it was only people that had firsthand stories of their own. That ended up being incredibly challenging to book. Any podcast is hard to book but when you add that element in, OOF I don’t know how I did it. So nowadays I always prefer guests with stories to share but most episodes are with guests that are fun people that I enjoy and I prepare the spooky content for us to ponder. My main requirements are that the guest have to have a sense of humor and be open to the idea of the unknown.

The Knockturnal: How did you begin your journey with the Exactly Right network?

Roz Hernandez: I have been a huge fan of Exactly Right since day one. When I was looking for a new home for the podcast it felt well, exactly right. I think that what the network has created with true crime and comedy goes along with what I do and it has been a dream to collaborate together. People that like scary stuff and laughing are my kind of people.

The Knockturnal: What changes has your podcast gone through since you joined the Exactly Right network?

Roz Hernandez: It feels like she has been through a makeover. She is the same podcast as before but in the few months that she disappeared, she got some work done. She is refreshed. Everything is just elevated. There are some new sound design elements, more listener stories, and new cover art!

The Knockturnal: What can listeners expect from upcoming episodes of your podcast?

Roz Hernandez: Lots of laughs, lots of weird conversations. I’ve really leaned into more topics that are beyond just ghosts like more extraterrestrials, unusual creatures, and synchronicities. I think the podcast has found its groove with the comedy and I have been truly dying laughing every episode. It’s just a fun vibe all around!
