Fashion designer Rachel Zoe styled people at the Tanqueray Damn Fancy Styling Station. She described her custom drink recipe as ‘crisp.’ In an interview with The Knockturnal, she dished on her partnership with Tanqueray and her fondest New York Fashion Week memories.

Zoe and Tanqueray London Dry Gin collaborated on the high-fashion styling station. At the mobile pop-up, attendees received a fifteen-minute tour and styling session. They browsed her signature Fashion Week picks. Complimentary Tanqueray beverages appeared at the event. To learn about the glamorous event, read the interview below.

The Knockturnal: Right now, you’re doing this amazing partnership with Tanqueray. Can you speak about your relationship with the brand?

Rachel Zoe: I’ve been working with Tanqueray for four years now. We have an incredible relationship and partnership. We’re very collaborative. We really talk about concepts together and what we want to do each season: events, products, and launches. It’s been an incredible relationship. We just have a lot of fun together.

The Knockturnal: Can you share some of your styling tips to elevate looks from New York Fashion Week to everyday occasions?

Rachel Zoe: I mean, I don’t know, I always think drama is the way to go. Just throw on a great statement anything, whether it’s your coat, a great pair of platforms, a big pair of earrings. I always like to go to something that makes the look more interesting. It’s where I am psychologically because I just…I don’t know, why be boring?

The Knockturnal: I agree. For your look today, your earrings have a little bit of drama.

Rachel Zoe: And I have this coat on. I didn’t keep it on long. During February’s fashion week, I feel like throwing on a good coat goes a long way: super easy and keeps you warm. So, bonus!

The Knockturnal: You have your Rachel Zoe’s French ‘75 cocktail. Can you tell us a little bit about it?

Rachel Zoe: Well, yeah, it’s my favorite way to drink gin for sure. I love it with a little splash of sparkling wine or champagne and lemon. What more do you need? I mean, it’s clean, it’s crisp, you can have it any time of day…It sounds really chic when you order a French ‘75, right?

The Knockturnal: I agree. I like the ring! You have been involved with and coming to Fashion Week for many, many seasons. What are a few of your fondest memories?

Rachel Zoe: Honestly, I have so many fond memories. It’s hard to even count them. You know, I think from just crashing to attending fashion shows and becoming friends with designers I only ever dreamed of being in the same room as…I think of some of the most epic memories and conversations. People I’ve met in fashion shows and during Fashion Week have become some of my life-long friends. That’s been extraordinary. In what other industry do you get to meet people from all over the world and all different backgrounds? Every shoot I did was with a different group of people. For me, that’s just part of the magic.

The Knockturnal: I agree. So, you have some hand-picked items from Curateur and the Damn Fancy Styling Station, which we’re sitting in right now…Can you tell us a little bit about it?

Rachel Zoe: Well, you guys get to pick something to take home with you. Curateur is my subscription of fashion and beauty items curated for people all around the country. They love it and it’s been so fun for me. It was my business idea to style as many people as possible, even if I don’t ever meet them. This is sort of the way. We have things from our marketplace and cute accessories.

The Knockturnal: Thank you! Is there anything else you would like to share with your fans? Any upcoming projects that you would like to plug?

Rachel Zoe: I have an amazing podcast that we’ve been doing for the past several months called ‘Climbing In Heels.’ That has been amazing. I’ve interviewed some extraordinary women. I launched it because so many people have asked me about my personal journey to get to where I am. I have so many incredible women in my life. I think hearing about their journeys inspires people.
