A seductive and spooky shop that stimulates your senses
Last month, the cult series American Horror Story unveiled a pop up shop ahead of the AHS:NYC premiere on FX. The shop ran for a successful three-week opening in the West Village of New York City. Thousands of fans attended this immersive event where they got an inside look into what is going to come from the latest series. The pop-up shop also drew in celebrity talent and actors from the new season, including Charlie Carver, Leslie Grossman, Russell Tovey and Matthew Bishop, along with digital creators Amanda Lepore, The Dragon Sisters and Luxx Noir London and more.
Upon entering the shop, fans were surrounded by sensual and horror-inspired decor that gave some insight on what to expect from the new season. There were dark rooms throughout the store that lured guests into a new sensory display that reflected some of the scenes and themes from the show. To make things even better, guests were able to create a safe-word inspired t-shirt that was designed in the shop while you were exploring each set. The creation of the safe word shirt was an experience in itself. You are prompted to answer a phone and on the other line is someone who asks you very intimate and insightful questions so they can generate the perfect word to describe you. The fun of it is that at the very end you get to see your unique safe word that describes you.
You can tune in to AHS:NYC every Wednesday at 7pm ET as well as Hulu the following day for streaming.
