Club 90s presents Guts Night: Olivia Rodrigo’s Official Album Dance Party was held at the Gramercy Theatre in New York!
The line was around the block in anticipation of dancing the night away to iconic 90s hits. 18+ fans arrived and both Gen Z and millennials were ready to have a blast together. One woman was overheard saying “I’m just a 30-year-old teenager” and I was here for her youthful energy. Being that the party was centered around celebrating Olivia’s album release “Guts,” many fans came with Guts totes that they got from the popup merch event earlier in the day. Many showed off their purple hues to fitting match with the album’s aesthetic and others donned their Y2K style with platform flip flops, butterfly clips and thin braids.
Once we arrived inside, guests hurried downstairs to purchase unique Olivia merch, snacks and drinks, while others got closer to the DJ set. Above the setup was a huge screen that later on showcased the music videos of the songs playing as well as lyrics for us to sing along to. Being that it was Olivia’s night, the first song that played was hers from High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and everyone belted along to every word. The next song that played was Avril Lavigne’s song “Complicated” and the crowd was feeling it. As the magical night continued, everyone danced alongside their friends, sang loudly like they would in their bedrooms and the vibe felt like a fun girl’s sleepover!
