The giant social and cultural giant known as Coachella has finally come and gone (well at least the first weekend which is what most people think of when they think of the storied music festival).
No matter if you made it out to the desert or you stayed home and watched the festival being live streamed on Youtube – we live in an age where Coachella is essentially unavoidable. With that said, we know that it’s impossible to hit every party and see what went on behind the posts you saw all over the internet this past weekend, so we’re here to lift the veil on this weekend’s top parties. For the purposes of brevity – we’re not including every party that happened at Coachella, just the ones with the highest concentration of celebrities and social media.

Levis and Don Julio Present Neon Carnival
Neon Carnival may be the most hyped up party at Coachella year after year, and with very good reason. There is no party that’s gone on for as long and attracted nearly as many celebrities as Neon Carnival has. The fervor has gotten so high that on the invite it actually tells you to be aware of fake passes being sold. FAKE PASSES. BEING SOLD TO A PARTY. CAN YOU IMAGINE? There are a lot of people who fly out to Palm Springs/Indio only to attend parties, and this one is ALWAYS on everyones schedule. You know you’re going to see Paris Hilton dancing by the stage. Leonardo DiCaprio will be standing next to Richie Akiva (owner of 1oak) in a baseball hat and a hoodie, probably. A Jenner/Kardashian will be in the VIP area avoiding someone their on the outs with. This is all part of the joy of the party though! You get to see your favorite insta-stars letting their hair down and really partying till dawn. Read more about it in our review here
Amex Platinum House
American Express Platinum House at the Parker Palm Springs
Not all parties are created equal and each of them caters to a slightly different demographic. American Express Platinum House at the Parker Palm Springs caters to a more adult and discerning festival goer, while still attracting top global talent. This year’s Platinum House was an expression and invocation of minimalism as influenced by nature brought to life by legendary artist Daniel Arsham, the co-founder of the iconic design firm Snarkitecture. Creating a white mountain oasis in the middle of the desert is no easy feat, but Arsham and the team at Amex did just that. In addition to performances and DJ sets by globally known artists such as Justine Skye, Julia Michaels, and Hannah Bronfman, they filled the installation with a makeup bar courtesy of Milk Make-up, a shopping area courtesy of popular streetwear brand Knowlita and full bars everywhere. This was more of a place to relax and recharge than turn up, which given the sheer volume of parties, was a nice change of pace.

Moschino TV Desert Party
Jeremy Scott is a Coachella STAPLE. For as long as I’ve been attending Coachella (this was my 6th year — I think) I remember having attended a party for Jeremy Scott. Whether he does it for his own eponymous brand or for Moschino is always up in the air, but you can guarantee he’ll throw down in the middle of the desert the Saturday of Coachella weekend every single year. This year, however, there was a special surprise in store for everyone. While partygoers were dancing under the palm trees and lights, Jeremy took to the stage with one of his muses, Gigi Hadid, to play a special commercial announcement. The announcement, of course, we’ve now come to know is that he will be collaborating with H&M come the fall. This is reminiscent of when H&M did this with Alexander Wang a few years ago and we all know how that collection flew off the shelves.

#RevolveFestival
Revovle originally started just as a party. That was it. They would throw a raging pool party every year but that was it. So to say that it’s expanded is a bit of an understatement. This year, Revolve really took it to a whole other level by introducing #RevolveFestival. Yes, you read correctly. A festival about a mile from the actual Coachella festival. As a result of their raucous parties, Revolve has become one of the seasons most coveted tickets because their performers rival that of Coachella itself, and this year was no different. Held at the Merv Griffin estate, this year’s fete featured performances from A$AP Rocky, Chance the Rapper, 21 Savage, Snoop Dogg, YG, and tons of others. Revolve is no longer just in the business of dressing influencers but also putting together the top Coachella pool party in recent memory.

Fenty x Puma Drippin’
No one does Coachella like Rihanna. No one. From her show-stopping looks to her surprises performances (remember the year she came out with Calvin Harris?) Rihanna is a force all on her own, which is why when we got the invite to her party we couldn’t contain our excitement. Held on Saturday at an estate a mile or so from the festival, her party doubled as the debut of her newest Fenty collection for Puma. Complete with a go-kart track, a barely visible Leonardo DiCaprio, and 6 hours of non-stop partying. One can only hope that more designers will take notice of this and decide to stage their fashion shows during pool parties at major music festivals because this was truly a moment to remember.
