The Knockturnal was on the scene for the TFF world premiere of  Redwire Pictures’ “Asking For It” at SVA Theater on Saturday evening presented by PAC Protocol. Fans lined 23rd street to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars and get autographs.

Lead Vanessa Hudgens arrived in a Valentino leopard print number styled by Jason Bolden. Her co-star Alexandra Shipp looked fab in a red velvet vintage number. After small-town waitress Joey (Kiersey Clemons) is sexually assaulted after a date with her old friend Mike (Casey Cott), she befriends mysterious stranger Regina (Alexandra Shipp). Regina introducers her to The Cherry Bombers, an all femme gang including Beatrice (Vanessa Hudgens), Lily (Leslie Stratton), Sal (Radha Mitchell), Jett (Leyna Bloom), Angie (Lisa Yaro), Fala (Casey Camp-Horinek), and Rudy (Gabourey Sidibe). All suffering from past traumas, together they fight a misogynistic society. The movie was written and directed by Brooklyn-based filmmaker Eamon O’Rourke.

Many of the cast and crew were excited to see the film for the first time on a big screen. After the screening, guests headed to Gerber Group’s restaurant and lounge, Nearly Ninth within the Arlo Midtown. The premiere was produced by leading Hollywood special events group A-List Communications as apart of their exclusive Supper Suite Series. During the party, guests enjoyed a lively set by DJ NYCE and beverages by Vanessa’s new brand Caliwater, Grey Goose Essences, Billionaires Row Champagne and Peroni Beer. Guests snacked on chicken sliders, mini pizza’s and more!

Vanessa Hudgens and Alexandra Shipp were in great spirits. Vanessa took the time to greet guests and snap selfies with everyone who asked. Shipp also brought her dog to the party! It was another fun night hosted by our friends at Supper Suite.
