The TEDxTeen New York 2017 Conference will take place today Saturday, November 11th in NYC.
This conference taps into the projects of amazing and innovative teens from around the world and is hosted by the legendary Nile Rodgers’ We Are Family Foundation, in partnership with Adobe Project 1324. Some speakers will include:

- Ahmed Badr (founder of Narritio, refugee activist; topic: refugee + arts)
- Nina Moran (from Skate Kitchen group; topic: gender equality)
- Finn Harries (co-founder of Jacksgap youtube channel; topic: sustainability & environment)
- Diana Chao (founder of Letters to Strangers; topic: mental health & spoken word performance)
- Amy Leon (singer; topic – musical performance)
- Phillip Picardi (editorial director of Teen Vogue; topic: your difference is your greatest asset)
Musical performances will be by R&B artist Berhana and DJ Tanners.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).
