Broadway tickets, a chance to perform, and more…
This Tony season fans have a chance to get in on the selection process (kind of) by playing Predict the Tonys, which is joint sponsored by Audience Rewards and Show-Score.
Basically, in a system reminiscent of betting on sports teams, fans will be able to create their own predictions for the big winners at the Tony’s with the chance of winning one million Audience Rewards points. These points can be redeemed for theater tickets and incredible Broadway experiences, like a chance to perform at Feinstein’s/54 Below or having a caricature done by Richard Baratz.
Entrants will be able to compare their predictions against those of other players and share their ballots on social media outlets, including Show-Score.
Audience Rewards is Broadway’s first and only loyalty program that rewards frequent theatergoers for their dedication to the Great White Way and making it easier to attend future performances. Show-Score, on the other hand, is a Broadway-based social network that revolves around creating aggregate scores for Broadway shows based on reviews, using a model based on how Rotten Tomatoes ranks movies. Together, these sites are invaluable tools for anyone even remotely interested in Broadway theater and, as co-sponsors of Predict the Tonys, they will be very important to pay attention to as they measure public opinion leading up to this year’s big night.
