Seven-time Grammy award-winning superstar Toni Braxton announces the release of new album ‘SEX AND CIGARETTES’, due March 23rd. This is Braxton’s first solo album in 8 years.
Toni Braxton, known in earnest as an American singer and television personality, started her musical debut with the release of her self-entitled album in 1993, of which sold 10 million copies and solidified Braxton’s career.
“SEX AND CIGARETTES” was co-produced by Braxton herself, of which includes hit single “Deadwood” that was released last September. Her newest single “Long as I Live” is out now, and accompanies the album with Deadwood and a duet with Colbie Caillat, “My Heart”.
“SEX AND CIGARETTES” marks Toni’s first major release since “Love, Marriage & Divorce”. her Grammy-winning Best R&B Album collaboration with Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds, released February 2014. A critically acclaimed landmark project for both artists, Love, Marriage & Divorce was hailed as a “quiet-storm oasis” in People magazine’s 3-star review, and “a re-animator” by the New York Times.
In support of the album, Toni is plotting the SEX AND CIGARETTES TOUR, a North American trek set for the spring, with tour dates and ticket info to be announced very soon. “Long as I Live” can be listened to here.
