Leftfield Pictures is joining forces with trailblazing musician and super-producer Timbaland to develop Opera Noir (w/t).
Opera Noir will be a scripted hip hop musical based on and scored by the legendary artist’s upcoming autobiographical and final album of the same title. The musical will be based on and scored by Timbaland’s autobiographical and final album. The musical event special will follow a young musician’s rise to the top and hardships along the way, detailing his struggles with poverty, substance abuse and crime.

Timbaland has been one of the music industry’s most dynamic contributors for more than two decades, both as a solo artist and a producer, helping create career-defining hits for icons such as Jay-Z, Kanye West, One Republic, Drake, Nelly Furtado, Aaliyah, Katy Perry, Missy Elliot, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Destiny’s Child, Justin Timberlake and many more. He will now use his music to reveal the raw, honest story behind the building of his own empire in Opera Noir.

Timbaland will serve as an executive producer along with David George, Adam Sher and Will Nothacker on behalf of Leftfield. Jared Gutstadt, President of Jingle Punks,whose creative partnership with Timbland helped facilitate the project, will also serves as an executive producer.
