Day 2 of The Essence Festival of Culture was full of soulful moments, joyful experiences and R&B tunes!
Saturday, July 2nd was the second day of the Essence Festival of Culture. New faces along with more venues were seen around the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Attendees crowded each of the experiences offered such as ESSENCE Wealth & Power™ featuring Global Black Economic Conversations, ESSENCE Studios Center Stage™, and ESSENCE Beauty Carnival™. Black artists within the experiences delved into topics regarding their journeys into their careers, building their wealth and trusting their vision. Gift bags were also being distributed by the majority of the vendors found at the convention center. In addition to vendors, Essence Festival not only highlighted businesses from other states but also their own local organizations and community activists. Educational booths regarding local NOLA community activists and their organizations could also be found in the space.
For the second night in a row, attendees filled up the Caesars Superdome to experience a night of R&B, soulful music. Performers included DJ Clark Kent, Lucky Daye, Chloe and Halle, D-Nice and friends, Summer Walker, Jasmine Sullivan and Patti Labelle. The closing act was Ms. Janet Jackson who gave a stellar performance and left everything on stage. Check out our Day 2 reel here!
