Last night, The Colony Theatre in Burbank unveiled its latest production, a powerful new musical starring Dani Shay, Cidny Bullens, Blake Jenner, and more.
The show delves into the remarkable true story of Albert Cashier, a Civil War soldier whose life challenges the conventions of identity and gender.
Dani Shay takes on the role of young Albert Cashier, while Cidny Bullens portrays the older version of this enigmatic figure. Blake Jenner steps into the shoes of Jeffrey N. Davis, with John Bucy rounding out the main cast as Billy Middleton. Heather Provost serves as the Producing Artistic Director, guiding the production with a sharp eye for detail and a deep respect for the historical significance of the narrative.
Adapted from Jay Paul Deratany’s book, the musical offers more than just a historical recounting; it’s a poignant exploration of themes that resonate deeply with today’s social climate.
