This past weekend, American Express & NBA 2K brought an activation to the NYC streets of Soho.
From Thursday December 8th to Sunday December 11th, The American Express x NBA 2K23 Lab was open to fans of the famous game. The Lab was a four-day immersive pop-up experience where fans of 2K had the chance to build new skills in their game. There were experienced 2K coaches on-site that helped guests sharpen their gaming skills. Fans also had the chance to create an iconic NBA shot recreated in NBA 2K23 for a grade and social takeaway at the Highlight Hub. As a way to commemorate guests’ experience at The American Express x NBA 2K23 Lab, a complimentary digital certificate (POAP) was gifted to them.
This event marks the celebration of all things Amex is doing in NBA 2K23. As an ode to the collaboration, fans have the opportunity to receive 35K in virtual currency if they purchase the game using their AMEX card.
Throughout the weekend, there were guest appearances from NBA and WNBA players. On Saturday, December 10th, fans had the special appearance of rapper, Jack Harlow and comedian Druski. They both played NBA 2K23 on Twitch livestream. NY Knicks teammates RJ Barrett and Jalen Brunson also joined in on the game. Here is a short recap of Saturday’s experience!
