As Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires prepares to sink its teeth into screens, Disney is set to introduce a new era of magic for this generation, with rising star Julian Lerner ready to lead the way.
This week I had the pleasure of attending Disney and Pixarโs newest original feature, โElementalโ at New York Cityโs Lincoln Square AMC. Directed by Peter Sohn, the film takes us on a journey into the spectacular world of Element city.
The Knockturnal had the honor of attending โThe Crossoverโ premiere at the Hollywood Athletic Club. โThe Crossoverโ is the television adaptation of Kwame Alexanderโs novel-in-verse. Alexander won the 2015 John Newbery Medal and a Coretta Scott King author honor for his work, and serves as the executive producer and showrunner for the new series. โThe Crossoverโ follows Josh (Jalyn Hall), nicknamed โFilthyโ, and Jordan Bell (Amir OโNeil) throughout their middle school experience while they figure out how to balance their social life, school, and basketball. The teenagers are coached by their dad (Derek Luke), a former professional basketball player.

I was able to sit down with Kheris Rogers who is a teen influencer, fashion designer, actress and CEO of her apparel brand โFlexinโ In My Complexionโ which she began after bullies made fun of her darker skin tone and she began the fashion campaign and blew up on Twitter with celebrities wearing her apparel.ย
The Knockturnal had the privilege of attending Prom Pactโs premiere on the pink carpet at the Wilshire Ebell theater. The red carpet attendees were dressed accordingly, with colorful prom dresses to fit the theme of the 80โs promposals displayed in the film.ย (Graham) stated that their favorite part of working on the movie was becoming friends with each other. Milo recalls sitting on his balcony after a workday, and discussing the craft of acting with his peers. The pink carpet displayed how tight-knit the cast was, with each Disney star jumping at the opportunity to support their friend, or hug a castmate on camera.
Disney has always taken a unique approach when it comes to their animated television series, and their latest series, โMoon Girl and Devil Dinosaurโ is no different. The series is based on a Marvel comic with the same characters. โMoon Girl and Devil Dinosaurโ features a diverse cast including Diamond White starring as Lunella Lafayette/Moon Girl, a 13-year-old superheroine, Fred Tatasciore as Devil Dinosaur, Alfre Woodard as Mimi, Lunellaโs grandmother, Libe Barer as Casey, Moon Girlโs best friend, and Lawrence Fishburne as The Beyonder.
