So you think you’ve heard it all when it comes to dating shows.
Dating
I had the pleasure to sit down and have brunch with the lovely Shake Chatterjee and Emily Wilson at Osteria Morini in South Beach, Miami to learn more about this innovative, entrepreneurial and lively power couple. Shake is well-known for being on a popular Netflix show, Love Is Blind Season 2, while Emily is a Miami-based entrepreneur and businesswoman.
How did Shake and Emily meet?
“We found love in a hopeless place,” says Shake. Emily and Shake met at the SLS during a pool party on a beautiful Saturday in Miami. Shake was trying to escape the cold in Chicago and was only in Miami for his second time. Emily was there celebrating a friend’s birthday and the birthday girl recognized Shake. At this point, Emily had never seen Love Is Blind but she and Shake just hit it off. Shake is happy that Emily got to know him for his true self before watching the show. Emily thought that Shake and his friends were a part of the birthday group. Emily stated that she thought Shake was, “charismatic, funny, and cool” and that she “just liked his vibe.” After this pool party they ended up spending the entire weekend together and the rest is history.
How is life in Miami for the couple?
“Life in Miami is amazing,” says Emily. Emily moved to Miami during COVID-19 from New York City. Emily was working in private wealth management in Manhattan doing the “New York thing,” until COVID hit and she found herself alone in her studio apartment. She wanted to try something new while riding out COVID. Emily’s friend in New York had the idea to rent out an apartment for a few months and asked if any other friends would be down to do the same. Emily said, “Alright, let’s do it – let’s get out of New York for a bit.” Emily put her things and storage and headed for Miami with her new puppy. She thought the move would be a two-month ordeal but ended up loving it in Miami! While here, Emily went to the 2021 Bitcoin conference in June and, “fell in love with all things crypto.” Emily says, “It’s the future,” in reference to the growing industry. Emily loved the energy and excitement from everyone at the events. At this point, Emily was still working in banking, but she caught the crypto bug. Emily states, “I ended up getting into the whole crypto scene here in Miami which was incredible.” Shake got into the crypto scene as well and the couple has been pairing up on several different ventures. Emily states it’s fun to be dating and working together all while meeting such interesting people that are enthusiastic about the future of the industry. Shake loves the weather in Miami, first and foremost coming from Chicago. Shake likes the fact that you can walk around in shorts and a T-shirt. He would describe the people here as “super welcoming.” Shake appreciates having a girlfriend who has been here for a little while to help make his Miami move a little smoother. “Exploring a city with the love of my life,” says Shake.
What are some current goals for the couple?
Emily, 27 and an alumna of Boston College, is focused on her career growth, the projects she and Shake are working on, as well as their new relationship at this moment. She looks forward to “raising a family one day” while being the “boss bitch,” that she has always aspired to be.
Shake, 33, states that he is “ready for something serious” and that he and Emily are working on building their relationship, making sure it is “strong and secure.” The couple has found themselves in a number of influencer roles, with brand partnerships in addition to being involved in various tech and crypto projects, Shake currently has a metaverse project in the works and has a podcast “Life is Blurry.” Shake is also a veterinarian – but is currently not practicing.
Does Shake have any regrets about Love Is Blind?
Shake states he had no regrets about Love Is Blind, but there were some things about the show he wished were different. “The experience I had led me to exactly where I am at now. Being on the show itself was an experience that was very unique and being on the show has opened up a lot more experiences and opportunities,” says Shake. Overall, Shake feels like things have worked out for him and he is glad things worked out the way they did!
How does Emily feel about dating someone in the limelight?
Emily describes dating someone in the limelight as, “not as big of a deal as you would think.” She explains that “there are definitely pros and cons. The other night we were eating pizza outside and a group of girls came up with their cameras in our faces – they wouldn’t leave us alone.” But, she states “I’ve met so many cool people just because they recognized Shake, and meeting good people is never a bad thing.”

Flirtar – The Pokemon Go For Dating – Launches with Glamorous, Amorous West Hollywood Party
Flirtar – The world’s first ‘Pokemon Go for dating’ app – launched recently with a luxe and very-poppin party at LA’s Mondrian Hotel. An attractive as hell crowd of hopefully-single partiers gathered poolside to celebrate and test out the future of mobile dating.
The app uses state-of-the-art technology and smart algorithms to find you a match. It’s like carrying cupid in your cutoffs. It determines compatibility using facial recognition, and even finds venues for you and your new flame to get better acquainted.
Actress Chloe Bridges stopped by in fierce thigh high boots with a simple, sexy skirt to match. Brandi Cyrus made the rounds, too, rocking alligator-print pants that high key turned heads. Where can I get a pair, because I want several.
Atlantic recording artist Chappell Roan played a smoldering set to a rapt crowd. I’ve seen about 6 million live shows, but this one was special. She’s like a younger Fiona Apple – the perfect performer to help launch such a distinctly millennial-centric app.
I’ve already gotten started using the app, and my single ass can tell you, it’s funnnn. It’s easy like playing your favorite game, but with a fun twist – you might meet someone sexy at the end.
Dating in LA is hard enough, but with Flirtar, at least you can have fun while you look for that next special someone.
