Michael B. Jordan stars in upcoming action-thriller Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse as a Navy SEAL caught in conspiracy. The film is adapted from the renowned novel of Tom Clancy, a dream come true for a fan of the author like Jordan. Ahead of its Amazon Prime Video premiere, MBJ chatted with The Knockturnal to tell us more.
On Monday, March 22nd Amazon Prime Video held a virtual premiere for Robert Kirkmanβs newest animated seriesΒ Invincible,Β starring Steven Yeun, J.K. Simmons, Sandra Oh, and many other big names in Hollywood.Β
InvincibleΒ tells the story of Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), a seemingly average teenage boy, who is the son of the most powerful superhero in the world Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons). Since Markβs mom Deborah (Sandra Oh) is a human, he gets to live a somewhat normal life. Or at least he does up until he starts developing his own powers right at the start of the series and decides he wants to fight bad guys just like his dad does.Β
This series is based on a comic book series by the same name from Skybound Comics. The firstΒ InvincibleΒ comic was released in 2003 and had a fifteen-year run, before concluding in 2018. Over the years, Invincible appeared in 144 issues and many spinoff series. He has become a beloved superhero by comic book fans around the globe.
TheΒ InvincibleΒ series is already being recognized for its impressive voice cast, which includes Seth Rogen, Gillian Jacobs, Zazie Beetz, Jason Mantzoukas, Mahershala Ali and so many more stars. The series is also being applauded for the diversity within this cast. Robert Kirkman, who created theΒ InvincibleΒ comic series alongside Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, serves as the creator of the animated series. This is not the first time one of Kirmanβs comic book series has been adapted for television. Back in 2010, his comic book seriesΒ The Walking DeadΒ was turned into the wildly successful television series of the same name.Β
Amazon announced in 2018, that the first season will consist of eight episodes. The first three episodes will debut on Friday, March 26th and the rest of the episodes will air weekly on Amazon Prime Video.Β

Small Axe is Steve McQueenβs new anthology series streaming on Amazon Prime. The series follows five stories of the West Indian experience in London over different decades. Even though auditioning for professional roles while still in school was βfrowned uponβ, Cole knew this was a once in a lifetime chance to get himself in front of Steve McQueen. Luckily for him, this was a risk that paid off.
Sheyi Cole beat out hundreds of other young men for the role of Alex Wheatle in the movie of the same name. Alex Wheatle is the fourth film in the Small Axe series, and it details the authorβs life growing up in Londonβs foster care system before moving to a youth hostel in Brixton where he developed his crucial rocker sound. After being arrested during the Brixton riots, Wheatle met a Rastafarian, Simeon, who helped him change his path and influence him into the person he is today. Cole sat down with The Knockturnal to talk about how he felt when he learned he got the role and what it means to him to be a part of Small Axe.
Steve McQueen does it again, but this time through SMALL AXE, a collection of five films. Amazon Prime presented a drive-thru experience this past weekend in Los Angeles, which fully immersed the guests into these powerful stories.Β
