STARZ has dropped the first teaser and a batch of first look images for its upcoming series Power: Origins, giving fans their first glimpse at the next chapter in the Power Universe. The debut of the first teaser marks a major milestone for the Power franchise, which has continued to grow through multiple successful spinoffs since the original series concluded in 2020.
While fans have seen Ghost, Tommy, and Kanan as established figures throughout the franchise, Power: Origins shifts the focus to the years before they became the names audiences know today.
Set in the early 2000s, the series explores a period that has only been referenced through flashbacks and conversations in previous shows. The timeline gives viewers a chance to see how the friendships, rivalries, and decisions that defined the original Power series first took shape. It also offers a closer look at the environment that helped shape three of the franchise’s most recognizable characters.
The new series also represents the first time actors Spence Moore and Charlie Mann will take on the roles of Ghost and Tommy, following performances by Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora that became central to the franchise’s success. MeKai Curtis returns as Kanan after leading, creating a direct connection between the prequel series.
With Power Book III: Raising Kanan approaching its conclusion, Power: Origins positions itself as the next chapter in the expanding universe. The first teaser signals that STARZ is continuing to invest in one of its biggest franchises while introducing a new era that longtime fans have been waiting to see.
