The air has turned crisp, leaves have traded green for colors, and New York City has transformed into a playground for pumpkin lovers, scare seekers, and costume connoisseurs. From the legendary Blood Manor haunted house tucked in the West Village and cider strolls to pick pumpkins at Gregg’s Trees, there’s no shortage of autumnal adventures. Whether you’re searching out decorated stoops, sipping lattes at a cozy café, or marching in the legendary Village Halloween Parade, NYC in the fall is equal parts spooky and spectacular.

Blood Manor

If you’re ready to crank up the fear factor, there’s no better place to do it than Blood Manor, NYC’s ultimate haunted house at 359 Broadway. Celebrating over 20 years of spine-tingling screams, this iconic attraction has become a Halloween must for thrill-seekers across the city. Through Saturday, November 8, Blood Manor will dish out bigger scares, darker rooms, and a whole new level of horror. This year’s experience features fresh rooms, jaw-dropping costumes from Abracadabra, and a terrifyingly talented crew of actors, designers, and makeup artists who bring your worst nightmares to life. As you wander through pitch-black hallways and eerie themed spaces—from cursed mansions to abandoned asylums—prepare for jump scares, heart-pounding effects, and a few moments that might just make you question your decisions. Every inch of this 10,000-square-foot house of horrors is designed to blur the line between fantasy and fear, making Blood Manor a must-do for anyone who lives for a good adrenaline rush and appreciates it.

Death by Disco at City Winery

Death by Disco, presented by Unbranded Events, is NYC’s biggest Halloween pop-up, offering two nights of an unforgettable immersive experience at City Winery, located on Pier 57 along the Hudson River. On October 31st and November 1st, guests will be surrounded by elaborate decor, aerialists performing from the ceilings, 10-foot stilt walkers, and live performances from go-go dancers and Halloween characters, while enjoying complimentary tattoo and palm reading stations. Two stages will feature over 20 DJs spinning a high-energy mix of house music, mashups, Top 40 hits, and pop. The event is strictly 21 and over, with tickets granting full access to all areas, including interactive experiences and performances. The tattoo and palm reading stations will be open from 9:30 PM to 12:30 AM. With its waterfront location and immersive atmosphere, this is a Halloween event New York has yet to see, and tickets are expected to sell out quickly.

The Forbidden Palace at Slate

Get ready for a Halloween night like no other at The Forbidden Palace at Slate (54 W 21st St), one of Manhattan’s hottest party destinations. On Friday, October 31st, this iconic Flatiron hotspot transforms into a decadent den of mystery, music, and mayhem. The night kicks off at 8 PM with a one-hour vodka bar (8–9 PM) to get the spirits flowing—literally. From there, a live DJ will keep the dance floor shaking as costumed revelers take over Slate’s multi-level playground of lounges, games, and dance floors. It’s the ultimate Halloween experience in one of NYC’s best party venues. Costumes are a must, and tickets start at $85

The Red Pavilion’s The Black Lodge Ball: Halloween with Cinema Paradiso

Head to neo-noir nightclub The Red Pavilion this Halloween for The Black Lodge Ball: Halloween with Cinema Paradiso—a night to delight in the frightful sounds. On Friday, October 31st, the venue transforms into a portal both wonderful and strange, inviting guests into a haunting masquerade of psychedelic soundscapes, cosmic horror, and smoky jazz noir from 7 PM to 9:30 PM. The evening features house band Cinema Paradiso, performing live music inspired by the surreal worlds of David Lynch—including Twin Peaks, Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, and Lost Highway—alongside evocative scores from cult horror classics by Hitchcock, Argento, Tarantino, Carpenter, Burton, and more. The show begins at 7:30 PM, and walk-ins are welcome.

Greg’s Great Pumpkin Patch

For over 35 years, Gregory Walsh, founder of Greg’s Trees, has been bringing holiday magic to New York City, and this fall he’s doing it again with Greg’s Great Pumpkin Patch at the Greenwood Park Beer Garden (555 Seventh Ave., Brooklyn). Following last year’s hit Christmas tree market at Domino Park with Two Trees Management, Greg is now turning Brooklyn into a fall wonderland with over 1,000 pumpkins, festive décor, and plenty of fun for all ages. From pumpkin painting and a hay maze for kids to Instagram-worthy photo ops and a dog costume parade, this patch offers the kind of cozy, small-town experience New Yorkers don’t often get without heading to the suburbs. Visitors can also explore Greg’s Halloween Shop, filled with scarecrows, cornstalks, flowers, gourds, and New York’s best pumpkin selection—from classic Howdens to rare varieties like Cinderella, Lumina White, and Jarrahdale. With easy checkout, delivery options, and that signature Greg’s Trees charm, Greg’s Great Pumpkin Patch brings all the warmth, wonder, and nostalgia of fall right to the heart of Brooklyn—no road trip required.

Halloween at Paradise Club

Two thrilling Halloween weekend events are set to take over Paradise Club, the state-of-the-art entertainment venue in the heart of Times Square known for its immersive theatrical atmosphere. The celebrations kick off with COBRAH – Gag Ball NYC “Second Skin” on October 31 at 10 p.m., featuring the acclaimed Swedish singer, songwriter, and producer COBRAH, whose electrifying blend of electronic and pop music explores themes of desire, dominance, and self-expression. Guests can expect an unforgettable night complete with a costume contest, a stellar DJ lineup, and a provocative, high-energy experience befitting the reigning queen of BDSM pop. Rounding out the weekend is House Code Presents: Eran Hersh, headlined by the Miami-based DJ and producer known for his signature fusion of Afro and tribal house layered with Middle Eastern rhythms. With his dynamic performances and global appeal, Eran Hersh brings a hypnotic, high-energy sound to Paradise Club’s immersive setting.

Tell No One’s The Garden of Earthly Delights

The historic McKittrick Hotel—where Sleep No More enthralled thousands for so many years—is being reimagined as an interactive, multi-floor immersive world inspired by The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch, designed by Manena Frazier and a team of artists and set designers. Spanning seven levels, the space will feature an otherworldly entrance and dance floor with aerial performances, a 1930s-inspired Parisian salon with live music, a lush garden and labyrinth with roaming performers, and a premium top-floor experience presented in partnership with At Last. Across all floors, guests can expect spontaneous circus acts and roving performances curated by Evgeniya Radilova and Rose Alice, with scenic design by Lindsay Ardhen Cooper, Grace Jung, and others. Food and beverage will be provided by Purslane / The Oberon Group, New York City’s first zero-waste catering firm. Death of Rasputin on Governors Island was one of my favorite theatrical experiences this year—a fantastic immersive show—and I can’t wait to see it return to the McKittrick Hotel as part of this transformation. Within this reimagined venue, guests will find an exclusive preview of the upcoming immersive production—a brief narrative escape woven into the masquerade world of Tell No One, an all-night Halloween gala transforming this storied location into a living work of art.

Gitano NYC “Death & Opulence Banquet”

This Halloween, Gitano NYC is the place to be for a night of dark glamour and decadent fun. On Thursday, October 31st, the Seaport hotspot transforms into a tropical-gothic wonderland for its “Death & Opulence Banquet”, complete with flickering candles, shadowy palms, velvet drapery, and glimmering gold accents. Guests can indulge in a modern Mexican shared feast paired with signature mezcal cocktails, then slip into the after-dark celebration, where seductive attire and impressive dance moves are highly encouraged. For a Halloween experience that’s as immersive as it is indulgent, Gitano offers an unforgettable night of dining, dancing, and darkly glamorous fun.

Edge at Hudson Yards GARDEN OF SHADOWS

This fall, Edge at Hudson Yards transformed into the GARDEN OF SHADOWS, a stunning world of gothic-inspired floral art created by Fleurs de Villes. From September 26 through November 3, visitors wandered through floor-to-ceiling floral installations that framed the NYC skyline in a shadowy, Halloween-ready atmosphere. The experience featured performances by Polycarp Flowers and internationally acclaimed artists, including balloon designer Molly Balloons, costume artist Darrell Thorne, stilt-walker Allegra, illusionist Justin Sight, avant-garde clown troupe Fou York, and sculptor Charlie Le Mindu. Family-friendly shows and evening performances brought the space to life, offering a hauntingly beautiful experience for all ages.

Tiny Zaps

Why not commemorate your favorite holiday with a little permanent ink? Tiny Zaps in Nolita (185 Mulberry St., New York, NY) is the perfect spot to do it. I’ve gotten tattoos from them before, and the whole process was amazing—super professional, clean, creative, and affordable! Tiny Zaps specializes in small, permanent tattoos done by professional artists who believe that getting inked shouldn’t be intimidating. They’re building a vast library of tiny designs—from seasonal motifs like pumpkins and ghosts to everyday symbols—making it easy for anyone to find a design they love and wear it forever. Whether you want a delicate Halloween-themed tattoo or a timeless tiny piece, Tiny Zaps makes it fun, easy, and memorable.
