The 2024 BMI Pop Awards celebrated the music industry’s powerhouses – both the performers and the creative minds behind the hits.
Songwriters and singers affiliated with BMI gathered to honor chart-topping songs like Miley Cyrus‘ “Flowers” and Taylor Swift‘s “Karma,” which won Song of the Year and Songwriter of the Year, respectively.
But the night wasn’t just about the songs.
Songwriter Benny Blanco, known for smash hits like “California Girls,” “Diamonds” and “Moves Like Jagger,” received the prestigious President’s Award.
Blanco’s contributions to BMI are undeniable. His fellow artists and industry peers were clearly thrilled to see him honored for his career.
Joining the festivities were artists like Ruth B., Bebe Rexha, Coi Leray and Stephen Sanchez. The Knockturnal captured the night’s energy with interviews and a fun “Guess the Song by the Emoji” game – all available to view here!
The 2024 BMI Pop Awards served as a reminder that the catchy tunes we listen to wouldn’t exist without talented songwriters who work behind the scenes.
Until next year, these awards continue to honor the music industry’s complete picture.
