Slate and Crayola joined forces at a recent New York launch event where a vibrant new partnership featured five custom vehicle wraps inspired by the well-known crayon lineup.
When was the last time you picked up a Crayola crayon? Chances are, you’ve stepped into the driver’s seat countless more times than you’ve reached for a coloring book. But what happens when those two worlds collide? In an unexpected new partnership, Slate has introduced a colorful collaboration with Crayola. The lineup features five custom vehicle wraps inspired by Crayola’s extensive collection: Cerulean, Fern, Jersey Tomato, Razzmatazz, and the fan-favorite, Dandelion.
An affordable American classic, the Slate Truck holds a unique distinction: it is the first vehicle specifically designed to be wrapped. While Crayola laid the creative foundation for our childhoods, this new partnership serves as a vibrant reminder that imagination doesn’t end in adulthood. Starter packs include custom decals, a matching key fob cap, and a clip-on dashboard Slatelet. Ben, Head of Brand and Marketing at Slate, explains, “Slate vehicles are all about accessorization, and we collaborated with Crayola for their instantly recognizable palette as part of their first-ever automotive partnership.” This collaboration not only celebrates creativity but dares drivers to draw outside the lines in all aspects of their lives.
