The very title of the track adequately fits the sonic profile created by the combination of Big KRIT and SiR.
The track starts in an appropriately fitting dream state, with SiR free flowing over the night-drive-esque instrumental. His vocals blend with the beat, creating a smooth atmosphere that is only brought to completion when Krizzle swings in with a melodic flow reminiscent of “Lac Lac” or “Sky Club”.
“Cadillac Dreams” paints a detailed picture of SiR and Krizzle whipping through city outskirts on a summer night. It’s perfect riding music, and a sort of vibe that is begging to be extended into a longer project or mix. SiR’s quickly showing himself to be not only a formidable hook guy, with the steez of an ambient Nate Dogg, but also an artist with enough depth to build an interesting solo career.
When speaking in terms of ambient vocalists, often times they suffer personality droughts, offering nothing but vocal instrumentation. Thankfully that isn’t the case with SiR, and it places him in an unique standing relative to his peers. SiR’s clearly harnessing his Soul prowess if he got KRIT on his track, considering he’s said, “if it don’t touch my soul I don’t listen to it”
