For the first time ever comes a recreation of The Hill, the famous home to Wimbledon, in New York City!
Last weekend, Sipsmith, who is the official gin partner of The Championships, Wimbledon, and Sipsmith Master Distiller Jared Brown hosted the first ever Wimbledon’s The Hill in New York. The three-day event offered New Yorkers a chance to experience British Charm and to enjoy the tournament’s finals. The event was held at Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park where attendees can enjoy the live watch party and bask in the fresh air and sun. We had the chance to attend the watch party, and the experience was magical!
From the moment you entered the park, the British Charm greeted you. The path towards the watch party was filled with a walkthrough of Wimbledon history over the decades and greeters dressed as tournament stewards in high chairs, exuding great energy. Pier 6 was large enough to fit thousands of New Yorkers, so the field was filled with individuals ready to watch the tournaments. Attendees also had the chance to eat food and drink refreshing cocktails all while cheering their favorite players on.
Hopefully, this is the first of many times The Hill comes to the states! Check out our recap here!
