Pepsi fired up the grills on June 10 to celebrate the best way to enjoy the drink — with food.
At the rooftop Pepsi Supper Club, the brand’s newest Food Deserves Pepsi campaign was unveiled, this time inviting fans to “Share A Pepsi” with their favorite dishes. The event featured a grilling demonstration by “Next Level Chef” finalist Christina Miros and an assortment of bites that paired perfectly with ice-cold Pepsi.
The grill station put a delicious twist on barbecue favorites, including hot dogs topped with Jamaican jerk hot mustard and pickled onions. Pairing the hot dog with Pepsi cut through the smokiness of the meat and the heat of the mustard while adding a sweet touch.
Also cooked on the grill were wild mushrooms, pollo asado, and tofu asado skewers, each of which complemented Pepsi’s signature drink featuring Wild Cherry Pepsi Zero Sugar and lemonade. The wild mushroom skewers were topped with a sweet Guajillo chili and sour cherry glaze, which brightened the dish and highlighted the effervescence of Pepsi. Other offerings at the Pepsi Supper Club included buttery lobster bites on top of a crispy parmesan puff, refreshing cucumber and pico de gallo cups, and smoky brisket sliders.
For dessert, Miros showed guests how you can grill for dessert by preparing an olive oil cake with peaches and cream, topped with vanilla bean chantilly and salted caramel. The light, fluffy cake was the perfect summery treat, and, of course, was elevated by a sip of Pepsi.
For “Share a Pepsi,” Pepsi is giving fans the chance to win a limited-edition 20 oz. “Share a Pepsi” Pepsi Zero Sugar bottle, which will feature the name of a food that the brand suggests pairing it with, from pizza to tacos and subs. There are three ways fans can score: Sharing which foods they’d #ShareAPepsi with on select @Pepsi social media posts, visiting the PEPSI DROPS platform on their website, and entering from now until June 30 or attending the food festival EEEEEATSCON LA from June 28-29 and stopping by the Pepsi activation.
