Impressing your guests at your holiday party is going to take more than just some fancy liquor. Thanks to attending Ciroc, DeLeón, and Ciroc VS School of Mixology I’m more than prepared to show off my bartending skills.
The exclusive and educational event was hosted at ‘The Ainsworth’ midtown location with Rosario Dawson in attendance as the classes special guest. Upon my arrival, there were stations set up across the bar with multiple settings for each guest to begin preparing their very own cocktails.
While there were a good amount of cocktails that we learned to mix, my personal favorite was the VS sidecar. The classic citrus flavored brandy drink is reinvented with Ciroc VS cognac. Look below for the recipe:
In order to make this holiday drink, you will need a shaker, strainer, and jigger. The ingredients needed for this cocktail are the Ciroc VS, orange liqueur, lemon juice, simple syrup.
Start by pouring measuring out one ounce of Ciroc VS using the larger side of your jigger to pour into the shaker. Following the Ciroc VS, repeat the first step with your preferred orange liqueur. Using the smaller side of the jigger measure a half ounce or lemon juice as well as a half ounce of simple syrup to place in your shaker. After completing these steps add ice and shake away. Sugaring the rim is the only suggested garnish for this simple yet refreshing cocktail.
