Difficult People
Shakina Nayfack:
Can you tell me a favorite moment so far filming up until the new season?
My favorite moment was actually last season, was the “f*ck you Marcy” scene. But we had this scene where we were having a CPR class and it ended up taking a turn and we improvised this whole thing where we just lay into this character. It was super funny and it became a meme, like I have 100 different “f*ck you Marcy” memes that fans sent to me on social media, which is cool.
How do you feel being a meme in this society?
You know I think its radical. I mean I’m like a trans woman, tatted up, like out there speaking my political viewpoints and then I’m on the GIF keyboard. That’s crazy.
Andrea Martin
When did you know you wanted to be an actress growing up?
I was nine years old and I was a Fairy Godmother in Cinderella in Portland, Maine children’s theater.
Having many years of acting, was there ever a set back for you?
I think any actor that you interviewed today would have to say the along the road there is a lot of disappointments that goes with the job, but I’ve been very fortunate all my life because I have worked all my life, but of course there are down times. The challenge for anybody in the arts is how do you feel defined, how do you feel like you’re worth something when you’re not working and that’s biggest challenge really.
The Path
Hugh Dancy
How was the Met Gala, was there any starstruck moments for you?
I’ve been now quite a few times and I just come into terms with the fact that you’re going to almost recognize everybody there and how weird that is, but I wouldn’t say I fully mastered it? It’s not like anybody individual, it’s just the whole experience, it’s incredible.
So you guys are getting ready for season 3 coming up soon, so any spoilers or excited for in this upcoming season?
I know at the beginning of the season as I understand it, will be the characters will all be in a different place literally and I like it when the show kind of take a weird, left turns in that way. So I basically know nothing, but I know that.

Are there any upcoming funny moments from your character in the new season?
I can’t tell you the context of them because I don’t want to reveal too much, but I will say this there is a very funny scene between Michaela Watkins and Chace Crawford and it may be a sexy scene and it may involve a lot eye contact during intimate moments. It’s very funny.
How does it feel on the set?
I only had like one scene with him. So we spoke very briefly, but he is such a lovely guy and also Tommy was talking about it and it’s so unfair, but he is so attractive it hurts my eyes. And he is funny, well-spoken, smart, talented, so yeah fuck that guy.
