On Tuesday, September 16th, The Knockturnal joined Rémy Martin for the launch of  This Is My City at Dom Lounge in New York.

This Is My City, presented by Rémy Martin V.S.O.P., is a mentorship and microgrant program that celebrates emerging creatives and entrepreneurs across major U.S. cities. Through mentorship, funding, and recognition, the initiative uplifts the next generation of talent, shaping culture within their communities. The New York celebration marked the first of four regional events, with upcoming stops in Atlanta (Sept. 30), Detroit (Oct. 15), and Chicago (Oct. 21), making it a fitting launch for a series that honors creativity and cultural innovation.

Influential figures from across fashion, design, music, and entertainment gathered to honor the inaugural microgrant winners: Tionne Bramer, co-founder of The Blacklist NYC, and DJ Na$H, the Philly-based DJ and founder of Interna$hional Bounce.

The evening was hosted by Power 105.1’s Angie Martinez (NYC mentor) and DJ Suss One (national mentor). An unforgettable moment of the night featured both winners being surprised with custom jackets by celebrity designer Jon Stan, a creative gesture symbolizing their contributions and impact on culture.

After the surprise presentation, the celebration continued with guests enjoying specialty Rémy Martin cocktails,  including The Rémy Ginger, Champs-Élysées, French Press, and Gramercy Sazerac while mingling in a lively and stylish atmosphere. Notable attendees included models Zarina Yeva, Katya Tolstova, and more.

The lively vibe of the night was matched by the music, which carried the celebration. DJ Suss One set the tone with his classic mixes, keeping the crowd moving early on. Then DJ Na$H took over with a phenomenal set that blended Afrobeats, soca, dancehall, reggaeton, and more. She brought incredible energy and highlighted the city’s musical diversity. Her set created a space where people could dance, let loose, and fully enjoy the moment.

The venue itself was stunning, intentional, inviting, and warm. Guests weren’t just there to support an initiative; they were there to connect, uplift one another, and celebrate culture together. Adding to the excitement was a bodega-inspired station stocked with local snack favorites, a playful and authentic touch that tied the night back to the city’s heartbeat.

Rémy Martin made every guest feel special. The celebration left people proud to represent their city, and inspired to be part of a cultural moment that will continue to grow as “This Is My City” travels nationwide.
